Career Tips for Young People: Your jobs will teach you these skills, lessons
It is very dangerous to give job advice to other children. Her friend's daughter was retiring from her job for two years after graduation. The parents' fears were understandable, but by the way I was speaking, I risked losing my friend and me. Not my place, I protested.
But he wrote that human assets are very valuable in creating wealth and that controlling their growth and income are the first steps, he said. So I had to make a personal financial decision based on professional advice. Students as usual are victims of such thoughts.
Young people who have just graduated from college are full of confidence about their ability to change the world. They want to make full use of that thinking, motivation and drive. At the same time, they face the challenge of contributing to a globalized world and to working without control.
The purpose of education is to develop thinking ability; curiosity; knowing how things work; and to contribute positively to the wider community. We have come to think that education should prepare a person for the job. We strip education in all its aspects to briefly explain the process of one of the many outcomes. The assets of people who start earning money from their first job come with the disadvantages of a broken education system. Learning from work is important.
But not like at school. There is one study that provides books, memorizes, or learns to solve problems using repetitions and frameworks, and writes supervised tests for graduation. Most of a student’s life is an individual effort and good performance. Systems that promote negotiation and joint effort expose them to team dynamics, but the environment is more competitive than collaborative.
Working in an organization requires great cooperation. They are real people who have different knowledge, attitudes and abilities. At the very least, individual performance matters. But little purpose is made to speak to the wheel that desires a different manifestation. The road is determined by someone; someone else is driving; someone else is wandering around. It takes time to understand how partnerships work at each level. Dismissing a party and organization will not break.
Personal property goes into work with certain stores of knowledge, skills and attitude. Job creation is about focusing on how these three things can be improved with the information provided by real work. A good portion of that added value can be obvious and invisible; what a person controls is the part a person knows he or she wanders along the way. The journey is made easier by the hundreds that contribute to our growth, in large and small ways, although we recognize and combine all the dots lately with the benefit of looking back.
In the first work, we see what we do not like easily. We do not like the boss; we do not like other members of the group; we do not like certain aspects of the work; we like certain policies and procedures; and so on. All of this affects only the impact it has on a person's property which should now reflect a limited merit over the overall merit. That should be the end of the focus when one starts. Do I study to do better? Am I being helpful and effective? What about me that makes it difficult to work with me? And so on.
One does not encourage oppression and devotion. Allow time for self-expression to show how one enters. The answer is an important contribution to achieve this. Most young employees worry about being applauded and applauded for what they do (memories of standing on the podium to be applauded recently, parents still tell someone they are the best, and the mind wants a different peer-to-peer recognition position). Ability to learn to look for oral and other indications of slipperiness; seeking feedback from peers, managers and others and thinking about it; working with the understanding that human property is a continuous activity that needs attention.
Building that property at a permanent price is not easy. Like any other property, many features are playable, some controllable and some uncontrollable. However, the controls must be worked on. Fixing what can be fixed is a responsibility. As the first business to succeed or fail, a new job includes personal belongings that can fly or fall. Ability to scan the opportunity; realizing expectations; throwing at them; to bring value; keeping promises; honesty; to be priced and properly set; they are all lifelong activities.
We do not live to get married at work for the rest of our lives. We hold a set of guarantees, and negotiate our price in the job market. The employer is the buyer and we need to make it clear that the forum we represent represents who we are and what we can do in the workplace. Qualifications and standards will not take us too far. And lying and photography will not help much. The exception does not make the rules, and we record who we are.
We can only solve for ourselves, and our inner value. It is difficult to find out what the prospective employer wants, and how to recruit those needs. That effort is like trying to get new start-up funding based on your business plan and vision. A hiring employer is trying to select shares in his portfolio based on previous performance. They need to understand the basics, and reach the right amount, and see how you fit into their system of things. Related qualifications will win the full qualification.
Failing to see my friend's daughter as a market place, after all. He is trying to get the best economic value out of what he can offer. No rights and privileges; nor is it a complete and unfair market.
Things will not always go smoothly. And there is no perfect path to success. Those who have done well can look back and see the decisions that worked for them. That does not make it a guide for others. That is why well-written books provide inspiration, not duplicate ideas for everyone. There is still no book about life, because each of us is different.
We run, we fall, we make lessons. Knowing what a person is doing and how that contributes to the collective efforts of an organization or community includes self-awareness, openness to accountability, a willingness to work for oneself, a measure of self-doubt and confidence and much more. The school or parents cannot teach any of these. Talk to everyone, but make your own decision and become a full-fledged owner, let me know.
